A refreshing Wine Cocktail

When I asked the fine people at The House of Glunz for a refreshing summer cocktail recipe, they recommended this:

Refreshing Wine Cocktail

1 1/2 oz. Clement Creole Shrubb liqueur d’orange
 3 oz. sparkling wine
— 2 dashes Orange Bitters
 lime or lemon peels**

Combine the liqueur, sparkling wine, orange bitters and ice in a cocktail shaker.
Important: Stir, don’t shake.
O yes, don’t be quoting James Bond. When making this delicious potable, the mantra is “Stirred not shaken.
This so not to lose the sparkling wine bubbles.
Serve in a flute glass, and garnish with lime or lemon peels.

Savor
“The Clement Creole Shrubb is a blend of white rum and aged rum infused with bitter orange peel and Creole spices, macerated together with pure cane sugar syrup and aged in oak casks,” says Barbara Glunz, The House of Glunz proprietress. “It has a vibrancy and intensity beyond any other orange liqueur. The addition of sparkling wine lifts up the aroma while the hint of bitters expands the flavors of orange and spice. The twist of lemon peel increases the perception of freshness and beauty.”
