Remember, vintners love romance

      Every state in the United States has at least one winery, and many states have several. Check your area for wineries and happenings.
Folks in the wine industry love to celebrate their wines, and to celebrate local life. They also celebrate romance.
A couple wineries along the Indiana Wine Trail, for example, celebrate candlelight and twilight this spring and summer.
Candlelight
      Stream Cliff Farm Winery, along the Indiana Wine Trail, offers a candlelight dinner in their Tea Room, one Saturday per month April-October.
      The Candlelight Dinner is held in the Tea Room. It includes a gourmet meal made of “the freshest ingredients possible.” Stream Cliff wines are available by the glass to accompany the select menu. The menu is listed on their web site. See link below.
      The April Candlelight Dinner, for example includes Gorgonzola -stuffed chicken breast, rosemary-garlic mashed potatoes and strawberry cream pie.
Candlelight Dinners are $32/ person including tax but not gratuity. These dinners are popular. Make reservations well in advance.

Twilight
Madison Vineyards Estate Winery hosts Twilight Tasting Dinners the second Saturdays of June, July, August, September and November.
Dinners include a four-course meal paired with Madison Vineyards wine.       Depending on the time of year and the weather du jour, Twilight Dinners are, presented in the winery tasting room or the covered deck overlooking the sunset.
      Each occasion includes a “Toast at Sunset” with piped-in “Amazing Grace” played on bagpipes, when guests are invited to raise their glasses to “Friends, Family, & To the Good Earth” – a motto that’s on their wine bottles.
      The dinners are $35 per person plus tax and gratuity. Seating is limited and fills up fast. Make reservations well in advance. Secure reservations are required.
