Tulips at Twilight — part of the Topeka Tulip Time Festival

Walk along candlelit pathways that illuminate tulips during “Tulips at Twilight,” at the Old Prairie Town & Ward-Meade Botanical Garden, 6 p.m.-10 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, April 7th and 8th and April 14th and 15th.

     Gaze upon over 40,000 tulips, and tulip sculptures that reach up to 20-feet high. Enjoy light refreshments, and live music in the courtyard. Each event night features a different local musician, including Kyler Carpenter, Jarrod Guth, Rachel Louise Taylor, and Luke Broxterman.
     This is the first year “Tulips at Twilight” joins the Festival. So romantic!

Tulip Time Festival
     “Tulips at Twilight” is part of the 8th annual Topeka Tulip Time Festival, April 1st through 16th. O yes, Topeka has tulips galore!
     Tulips are abloom throughout the city. Gaze upon them in pocket parks as you stroll down the historic South Kansas Avenue downtown Topeka. Behold thousands, in plethoras of colors, in Gage Park, and at Lake Shawnee.
     Love celebrating this beautiful springtime flower during “Tulip Time Day at the Lake” at Lake Shawnee, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. April 9th. Enjoy live entertainment, and peruse vendor booths. Admission is $5.00, free for kids five and under.
     Want to make this an excursion? Ramada Topeka Downtown celebrates Tulip Time all month! Through April 30th they offer a special at $99.00/night. Request the Tulip Time Rate when you make reservations at (785) 234-5400.
