Get your tickets! — “Carousel” performed live

Tickets are on sale for Carousel at the Civic Opera House, 20 North Wacker Drive, April 10th-May 3rd, 2015. Opening night is April 11th.

Storyline: Billy Bigelow, a carnival barker to promote the Carousel, meets and captivates Julie Jordan, a mill worker; she captivates him. He marries her and they have a child. They meet hardship, and Billy kills himself. Fifteen years later, he has a chance to come back and fix things.

Musical: Love a live performance of this Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic. Broadway stars Steven Pasquale and Laura Osnes portray Billy Bigelow and Julie Jordan.

The performance includes Tony Award winner Jarrod Emick as Jigger Craigin, and two-time Tony Award nominees Charlotte d’Amboise as Mrs. Mullin and Tony Roberts as Starkeeper.

Tickets: There are 26 performances, including one Preview Performance. Tickets are available at LyricOpera.org/Carousel or at (312) 827-5600. Prices range from $29 to $169.

*The April 11th opening night performance will be taped via 98.7 WFMT FM Radio, and streamed on WFMT.com on Sunday, April 12th at 7:15 p.m.
