The gents responded (but of course!)
I'd deemed Thursday, June 9th, 2011 "Gotta Love the Gents!" day on my Twitter stream. This to acknowledge true gentlemen. They're such an important part of romance. A Romantic's Perspective(.com) focuses on everyday romance, the kind you may draw from the environment. My "Gotta Love the Gents!" day via Twitter celebrated gents who seemed instinctive in doing just that.
"Gotta Love the Gents!" a la Twitter Starting noon Central Time USA, I started my Twitter stream with "Note to ladies: Gentlemen appreciate sincere compliments as much as you do." Continuing till 9 p.m., up to an hour apart, my "Tweets" included: ---quotes about gents ---quotes from my poetry book featuring gents ---links to select songs and music videos performed by gents.
The Gents responded: Gotta Love the Gents! day also featured engaging gents I knew via Twitter by asking their "romantic" input on specific subjects. I asked select gents via my Twitter connections:
"What city(ies) do you consider to be romantic?" These gents responded:
@virtualDavis Essex, NY! Paris & Santa Fe good 2! :)
@_mgutierrez Vancouver :)
@WinewithoutBS I am assuming Europe is out of this? San Fran maybe, but hard to beat a Vegas Wedding by Elvis! LOL
@VincentBass definitely Venice and Paris! :)
@AdrianKarth @JacqueeT Cape Town
When I asked "what would you suggest as a romantic wine?" these gents responded:
@demilove - Oregon Pinot Noir is –my- Capital R for Romantic wine!
@SoulTreeWine it's not the wine, it's how you drink it that makes it romantic #wine
@bacchae Efforts at romance usually involve quality champagne; the elegance of the Côte des Blanc
When I requested "please send a romantic poem" this gent responded
-------------------------------- ’Twas a fabulous Twitter Day! There were more conversations involved. Plus gents and ladies ‘Re-Tweeted’ some of the content. I’ll do this again this Thursday September 15th. Will keep you posted! Meanwhile, read about the gent musicians and their songs that were featured on the first ever Jacquee T. Twitter "Gotta Love the Gents!" day at "Gotta love the musicians."
