Moon — a sentimental action

___ The moon remains mysterious to us, beautiful upon to gaze, and inspires us “to moon.”


Most folks find time to gaze at the sky when the moon is prominent; this pause prompts reflection, and action upon that reflection.

Three “moon” as a verb definitions via Dictionary.com include:
— to act or wander abstractedly or listlessly
— to sentimentalize or remember nostalgically
— to gaze dreamily or sentimentally at something or someone

Examples
— His sister-in-law claimed he merely mooned in his goals, and urged his immediate family to ignore his requests for investment.

— Years after the divorce, she still mooned over letters her ex-husband had written during their courtship.
— He mooned over favorite songs of his youth, and found that his date identified.
